To create a seamless SaaS experience for Mess Pilot, I followed a structured design process
✦ Discovery & Research
Analyzed existing social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Later) to identify gaps and opportunities.
✦ User Journey Mapping
Focused on reducing clicks for key actions like scheduling, posting, and checking analytics.
✦ Wireframing
Built low-fidelity wireframes for dashboards, campaigns, and scheduling flows to validate structure early.
✦ High-Fidelity UI Design
Designed a clean, scalable interface system with modern visuals, typography, and intuitive navigation.
✦ Usability Testing
Conducted iterations with test users to refine scheduling flow, dashboard clarity, and overall navigation.

To design an impactful platform, I analyzed leading tools in the social media management space. The focus was on understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and gaps to ensure Mess Pilot stands out.
Key Competitors Studied
`
✦ Hootsuite
Strong in analytics and scheduling, but complex UI can overwhelm new users.
✦ Buffer
Simple interface but lacks advanced multi-channel insights.
✦ Later
Great for visual planning, yet limited in campaign tracking.
✦ Sprout Social
Comprehensive features but comes with high pricing and steep learning curve.
Before moving into high-fidelity designs, I crafted low-fidelity wireframes to establish the structure, navigation, and content hierarchy. The goal was to ensure a seamless flow for social media managers who need to manage multiple channels with ease.
✦ Defining User
Flows
Mapping out how users would create campaigns, schedule posts, and track income without friction.
✦ Sketching Layouts
Outlining the placement of dashboards, stats, and quick actions for better accessibility.
✦ Iterative Wireframing
Testing different layouts for the dashboard, campaigns, and schedule views to prioritize clarity.
✦ User Feedback
Validating wireframes with initial feedback before moving to UI design.
I designed the brand identity of Mess Pilot to reflect clarity, control, and forward direction. The bold yellow icon was created with a geometric balance to symbolize navigation and guidance acting as a “pilot” that helps users move through complexity with confidence. Its curved form adds adaptability and innovation while maintaining a sense of stability
.
For the typography, I chose a clean sans-serif style to keep the design modern and professional. The contrast of “Mess” in white highlights simplicity and problem-solving, while “Pilot” in yellow brings focus to leadership, action, and energy.
The dark background was part of my design decision to make the yellow pop with vibrancy while also projecting a sleek SaaS aesthetic. Overall, this identity communicates trust, innovation, and confidence, aligning perfectly with MessPilot’s purpose.
